Dear Graham, Earlier this year you assisted Else Solicitors with the acquisition of the entire share capital in a North Nottinghamshire engineering business. The issues were 3 director shareholders owning the business but 1 younger director working with 2 older colleagues. You had some involvement working alongside Karen Sheldon but we met to discuss a strategy for what could have been a lengthy, argumentative and drawn out process. You thereafter were able to execute that strategy and ensure that both vendors and purchaser understood the nature of the documents which enabled the matter to proceed to a completion smoothly. This potentially was a matter that could have resulted in a dispute and a major difference in opinion. After we produced the documentation to complete the transaction you attended all parties to sign and execute the share sale and guided them to ensure matters progressed smoothly. Following the transaction, you are working closely with the new sole owner of the engineering business assisting with business planning and also with the 2 retired former shareholders who have started their own consultancy business.
